These tapes comprise the four volumes of Saturday Night Live, a series of recordings named after the nights during and styles in which they were made. Improvised and recorded live late at night over a series of Saturdays in January/February 2011, during a break from working on the second Squanto album, this music comes from a much different region of the uh…Squantosphere. Originally only released digitally and without any proper artwork, I’m proud to finally give these recordings a proper physical release.
Four side-long meditations for guitar, voice, and loop pedal (with some keyboard maybe), split into two parts each. The slow-burning and inwardly focused sound of spending every weekend holed up in a dorm room.
The first two official releases from Lily Tapes and Discs. Released in editions of 85 pro-dubbed chrome tapes each from National Audio Company, the best of the best. Volumes I-II on a white cassette with blue imprinting, and Volumes III-IV on a blue tape with white imprinting. Packaged with full-color inserts, numbered, cut, and folded by hand here at LTD headquarters/my parents’ house.
